Aviation Academy Flying Mission Offers
A two year Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering programme for candidates who have successfully completed secondary education. The course is divided into 31 interrelated study modules:

- Year 1 Semester 1 (Aug–Dec) – Basic Subjects
- Year 1 Semester 2 ( Jan-June) – Fundamentals of Aircraft Maintenance
- Year 2 Semester 1 (Aug-Dec) – Aircraft Maintenance Practices Aircraft Systems and Helicopters
- Year 2 Semester 2 (Jan-Jun) – Power Plant, Aircraft Avionics and Attachment to Approved Maintenance Organisations
All modules must be completed to a satisfactory standard in order for a trainee to gain certification. Upon completion of the programme, graduates prepare for Botswana Civil Aviation licensing process. The aircraft maintenance engineer’s basic license is the foundation for all aeronautical engineering ratings and is recognised internationally.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In order to be eligible for admission into the AME programme, a candidate must have BGCSEs or equivalent, with a minimum of a Credit in Physics, Mathematics and English. Mature entrants with relevant practical experience, may be considered on merit.
All applicants are required to complete an initial evaluation prior to acceptance onto the course.
